I do not know for sure yet if this is the last post of the year but I would like to use it to thank you all for supporting and following me here and on facebook, on my more or less inspired posts – with longer breaks sometimes – both in pictures and in words. Thank you for your fidelity and your understanding and I bow down before you!
And because soon the time will come to replace our current year – with its good and bad – for a brand new one in which we put our hopes for better, I would like to wish you all that in this new year you will be “full” of good, of hope, of good luck and let us meet here again, healthy and happy. After these wishes, I feel I can come to you with a suggestion for the holiday desert, a cold dish which doesn’t involved sugar additives or baking. I am grateful to Simon for this wonderful recipe, as he was the one who pointed it out to me in a show on TF1. I would like to!
Ingredients for 4 people:
4 persimmon fruits with the skin removed, which we will carefully slice very thin (only at the last stage, when all the other ingredients are ready),
4 spoons of fromage blanc or a thick yoghurt (made by draining a regular yoghurt over night, on a tissue),
2 spoons of honey,
2 spoons of crushed pistachio (you can do crush it with the blade of a knife or you can use pistachio powder if you have any),
The orange juice and the honey are left to simmer for about 10 minutes, until they get the consistency of syrup. We leave it until it cools down, during which we prepare the plates: on each one of them we add a spoon of cheese, then we place the thin persimmon “blades”, over which we scarcely pour the syrup and then we powder it all with the crushed pistachio. It’s ready to be served – try it! I won’t say anything more as I don’t want to spoil your surprise !
